  1. Villager Realty is very involved with the real estate industry as a whole, and has a long history of contribution to the profession. Founder Tim Karr started Villager’s commitment to service, and has impressed upon our agents and management the need to become involved and part of the process, rather than watching from the sidelines. 
  2. Villager agents are among the most experienced, educated sales associates in the Commonwealth, and have earned a broad range of professional designations, including Associate Broker, GRI, CRS, SRES, ABR, ASR, SRS, AHWD, CRB, IFA and e-Pro.
  3. Broker Tim Karr’s contributions to the Realtor organization are numerous. Beginning with two terms as President of the local Central Susquehanna Valley Board of REALTORS®, he has served on several CSVBR committees and is currently the Secretary of the Multiple Listing Service.
  4. Three Villager Realty agents currently serve on the CSVBR Board of Directors and two Villager agents are on the MLS Board.
  5. Villager Realty has provided six Presidents of the local Board of REALTORS®.
  6. At the state level, Tim’s contributions and accomplishments are many having served as President of the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® (PAR), and as a nine year member of the Realtor’s Political Action Committee, which he chaired for four years of his service. His many committee assignments included Legislative, Financial, Membership, ten years on the Executive Committee, and has served as a member of PAR’s Board of Directors for over 20 years. Tim received the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® “Realtor of the Year” award.
  7. Three Villager Realty agents have their Appraiser Licenses and Broker Tim Karr served as President of the Pennsylvania Appraisal Council.
  8. Nationally, Tim Karr served on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors for ten years, and chaired NAR’s Membership Policy and Board Jurisdiction Committee during the time period that NAR adopted the Board of Choice initiative. Tim served as NAR Regional Vice President for two years representing Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey on the NAR Executive Committee.
  9. Many members of the Villager Team are active in their local communities including borough council presidents, township supervisors, chamber of commerce boards, regional development boards, service clubs, church councils, charity fundraising groups, BSA councils, eldercare advocacy, county committeemen, and local business promotion organizations, to name but a few.
  10. Broker Tim Karr served on the National Brokers Advisory Boards of both GMAC Real Estate, and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Services.
